How To Make Your Own Homemade Berry Syrup

Berry Syrup on Puffy Oven PancakeTired of plain old Maple Syrup? Want to wow your family at the next pancake breakfast? Have you ever wanted berry syrup, but thought making it at home would be too difficult? Well it’s not, it is super easy to make! Keep reading and find out just how easy it is!

How a Craving Can Lead To Berry Syrup Perfection

One day I decided I wanted to put some berry syrup on top of the Puffy Oven Pancake I was making, but I didn’t have any. Have I ever mentioned that I love creating new recipes? It is so much fun. So, I threw some stuff together to try to make what I was craving. It turned out delicious! The hard part, for me, is remembering to write it down so I can recreate it and share it with others.

This berry syrup goes great on so many things: puffy oven pancakes (also known as German Oven Pancakes, look for that recipe next week), french toast, pancakes, and even ice cream! You can use any kind of berry you want and they can be fresh or frozen. I usually use frozen fruit, because I always have that on hand. With this recipe I have made Blueberry Syrup, Strawberry Syrup, and a Mixed Berry Syrup using blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. They have all turned out great! Amazing (as Lala says)!
