General Tso’s “Chicken” Vegan, Vegetarian, AND Organic Options!
Chicken or Vegetarian Substitute – Use any of the following:
Batter: Optional
  1. Cut chicken/desired substitute into small bite size pieces.
  2. Coat pieces with cornstarch (about 1/2 cup) or if using batter, mix batter ingredients together in bowl and coat pieces with batter.
  3. Heat oil in a pan or wok, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes.
  4. Drain on paper towels.
  1. Sauté onion in small amount of oil for a few minutes.
  2. Combine all ingredients except onion in a small bowl.
  3. Pour into the pan with onions and cook until thickened.
  4. Pour over chicken or substitute and serve over rice or yakisoba noodles.
